JHUNREL Rodjun Ferrer won the title in the Negros Island Chess Aficionados’ (Nica) 1st Monski Monmongan Kiddies 10 Under Chess Championship 2017 held at the Ayala Northpoint in Talisay City recently.
Christian Pelione finished second and Dwayne Pahaganas placed third.
Rounding up the top 10 were Aeralyn Sinining, fourth; Zaire Evan Sadia, fifth; Charlize Cuambot, sixth; Jasmine Atienza, seventh; Einstein Abanco, eighth; Linco, ninth; and Dolar, 10th.
The chess championship was organized by the officers of Nica headed by Tibor Espinosa. (HGD)
