Flyover mishap causes 2-hour traffic

A SPORTS utility vehicle (SUV) that fell on its side on the flyover at Lacson Street in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City caused a two-hour traffic in the area early Friday morning.

Senior Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan, head of Police Station 3, said the vehicle was driven by Jeremiah Lopez, 23, of Villa Carmen Subdivision, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Lopez was on his way home around 5 a.m. when he sideswiped the flyover’s concrete barrier.

Batadlan said Lopez was reportedly sleepy after coming from a Christmas Party.

He was unharmed. A motorcycle driver helped him get out of his vehicle.

It was around 7 a.m. when the car was taken by a towing truck. (GYM)
