Former 4th District representative set to meet with guv

FORMER Fourth District Representative Jeffrey Ferrer said he is set to meet with Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. this month to discuss the plan of the United Negros Alliance (Unega) for him for the 2019 elections.

He said that there are options for him with Marañon, chairman of Unega, completing his third and last term next year.

Ferrer added that he can either run for governor, vice governor or never run at all.

It all depends on the decision of the party which we will discuss one of these days, he said.

Ferrer said that whatever the decision of the party, it will be followed and honored, but for now, they will stick to the plan.

He added that they had initial talks with the governor last year, but the final and concrete ones will still be discussed this month.

Ferrer said that although he enjoys life out of politics, he still supports and assists his wife, Representative Juliet Marie Ferrer, who became his successor.

He said that his wife works well as a legislator, and he cannot just take the position from her.

“With or without a position, I still continue to help our supporters who still seek my assistance,” Ferrer added.
