Former abattoir worker arrested in Liloan drug bust

A 36-YEAR-OLD man was caught in a drug bust in Sitio Tabay, Barangay Tayud, Liloan around 11:15 p.m. last Wednesday. Supt. Melbert Glade Esguerra, the town police chief, identified the suspect as Juanito Angtud Pugoy.

The suspect yielded four small packs of suspected shabu. Esguerra said Pugoy used to work at a slaughterhouse.

When he became unemployed, the suspect entered the illegal drug trade.

Police have yet to identify the supplier of Pugoy, who will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL)
