Former Abra vice guv shot in Marikina

FORMER Abra Vice Governor Rolando Somera was shot dead while two others were hurt in Marikina Saturday morning, June 10.

Somera, who lost in the 2016 vice gubernatorial race of the province was shot by unidentified suspect after he came from a cockpit arena in a derby around 1:15 a.m.

In a police report, the unidentified masked man with a lookout walked toward him and shot him at close range injuring Reynaldo de Luna, 46, and Wilfredo Apaloso,59, who were also shot and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Authorities revealed the shooting incident was caught in a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera installed at Barangay San Roque showing the suspect immediately fleeing with his cohort.

Investigators said they are still checking the CCTV footage while Marikina police, according to a report have already formed a task force for the immediate identification and arrest of the suspects.
