A GRADE 7 male student in Bacolod City was placed under the custody of Social Development Center (SDC) after he allegedly raped his eight-year-old neighbor Friday.
Senior Inspector Dianne Catedral of Bacolod Police Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) said Wednesday that last Friday afternoon, the victim’s parents reported the incident to Police Station 6.
The girl told her parents that they were playing “bahay-bahayan” inside their house when the suspect removed her clothes and raped her six times, Catedral said.
She said the medical examination showed the victim was positive for sexual abuse.
The WCPD together with the personnel of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) picked up the suspect from his school and was endorsed to the SDC Tuesday.
Catedral said they could not file a case against the suspect because of his age but he will undergo counseling with the DSWD.
