Great food, great service at RBG

IT WAS already past 1 o'clock in the afternoon last Saturday when my family and I decided to have a taste of RBG's Supersize Family Meals.

Upon the recommendation of some friends, my two sons really got so excited to finally head to Park Inn by Radisson Davao to order their favorite food at the hotel's restaurant.

We arrived at RBG at around 2pm already. Yes, it was kinda late for lunch so you could just imagine how hungry we already were then.

Good thing that a very accommodating lady staff of RBG immediately guided us to a table big enough to accommodate five of us (two adults, one teenager, one 11-year-old, and a year-old baby girl).

Based on the request (and taste buds) of my three boys (my two sons and my husband), I ordered the following set meal: apple, mango, celery salad for appetizer; French fries for sidings; cream of corn soup; crispy roasted pork belly for our main course; java rice; rainbow cake and mango jelly with cream for desserts; and a pitcher of orange juice.

There's more! For only P1,699, you are also entitled to enjoy a family-sized pizza. When we had our late lunch there, we had their vegetarian pizza which has slices of red and green bell pepper, onion, carrot, and green and black olives.

However, if you don't feel like ordering what we had, you may try their other choices like: (salad) RBG Caesar salad or baked chicken supreme salad with balsamic vinaigrette; (sidings) onion rings or nachos; (soup) roasted pumpkin or chicken noodle; (main course) eight pieces fried chicken or lemon-cilantro white fish en papillote; (rice) yang chow or vegetable fried rice; (cakes) chocolate or marble; (jelly dessert) buko pandan jelly or black gulaman with pearls; and (drink in pitcher) iced tea or soda.

I assure you, they are well prepared and cooked to perfection!

Supersize, it is!

Before desserts were served, I heard my sons complaining about their tummies. Yes, they were having some tummy pain but it was actually a positive kind of pain. They just enjoyed the food so much that they kept on eating even if they were full already. The ending? They felt so bloated that they requested the waiter to just pack the entire order of cake (one whole cake!) because they could no longer take in some more food.

According to the staff of RBG, their Supersize Family Meals are good for five adult family members. But for me, their servings are generous enough to feed even a family of eight!

Believe me, for paying such amount, RBG's supersize offering is truly a steal!

Great atmosphere, great service

My family's love for or loyalty to a restaurant really lies on two things: great food and great service. Since we have a little girl who just turned one and is expected to be playful almost all the time, we constantly want to dine in a place that is child-friendly -- casual, relaxed, spacious, and with great staff. Therefore, we don't only peg our decision on how sumptuous every food that they offer. I think this is one major reason why we are definitely visiting RBG again and again.

So, if you would like to experience a great family meal, visit RBG now. The Supersize Family Meals are available for lunch and dinner every Saturday and Sunday.
