GREENFIELD built a 14 point lead in the first three quarters and made it as its buffer when Crossfit Subtero rallied hard in the final period to log an 87-82 win in the Metro Cebu Basketball League/Rad Teamwear Recreational 6-feet-Under division at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
After leading by a precarious 17-16 in the opening quarter Greenfield slowly imposed its presence for a four point lead, 40-36 at the halftime break.
With Crossfit still groping for forms, Greenfield took the opportunity to drop series of bombs for a 68-54 lead entering the final period.
Clint Saramosing fired 20 points, Kelvin Go made 18, Fritz Carido had 14 and James Abapo scored 11 as Greenfield denied the game high 24 points of Elddie Cabahug who lead Crossfit Subtero scorers.
Borgy de la Cruz added 17, Mico Datan contributed 13 and Justin de la Cruz made 11 points for the losing cause of Subtero.
In the other games, JL Manila scored 13 points and Mark Ynoc fired 12 to help San Remegio-SG defeat Dentech 87-71; Lycans leaned heavily on the array of firepowers displayed by Ranil Cortes who scored the game high 23 points in the 83-56 win over Primary Builders.
In the main game, Daryl Tan scattered 19 points, Oliver Sanoy added 18, Joevince CaƱizares scored 15 and Samsam Gullas made 14 points as Sherilin Plastics waylaid Ayala Undang 104-46. (RCM)
