A 5-YEAR-OLD child discovered the body of a liaison officer of a security agency who allegedly committed suicide in Barangay Mambaling last Thursday.
Police identified the man as Prisco Quitara, 62. The child found him hanging inside his residence.
Beth (real name withheld) informed her grandmother who was the live-in partner of the victim about what she saw.
An initial investigation by the police said that the victim was described as a secretive person and never talked about his problems.
The informant added that Quitara was depressed and suffered a lot of illnesses.
At 6:10 a.m., Quitara’s body was already hanging with a nylon rope around his neck tied to a wooden beam near their dining room.
Police said the victim’s things were not disarranged.
Drugs
Meanwhile, a man involved in illegal drugs was shot by his neighbor after being reprimanded.
Joart Calapini, 30, was shot in the buttocks and chest by a certain “Remy” for his alleged involvement in drugs.
Police said the victim’s mother alleged that her son was engaged in drug activities and was confronted by the suspect to stop his illegal business.
Calapini was rushed to a nearby hospital and survived.
