Guv won’t reveal choice for NegOcc police director yet

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. has refused to reveal yet his choice for next director of Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Nocppo).

“I already have my pick but I won’t tell you for now who he is,” Marañon on Thursday, April 27, said.

He added that the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters has not given him yet the names of possible officials who will succeed Senior Superintendent William Señoron.

Superintendent Rolando Miranda was assigned as Nocppo officer-in-charge after the relief of Señoron, who was linked to the drug protection racket by top drug personality Ricky Serenio.

Señoron, however, vehemently dismissed the accusation. He has been directed to report to the PNP national headquarters in Quezon City. (TDE)
