MORE than half a million peso worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” were seized from a 32-year-old woman in a drug bust in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, around 1 p.m. on Monday, August 28.
Operatives of the Talisay City police arrested Mary Ann Cabanes.
Police were initially targeting Neil Recuerdo, Cabanes' cohort, but Recuerdo was able to elude arrest.
Recovered from Cabanes was at least 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P590,000.
The two were identified as newly identified drug sellers in the area.
Cabanes will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165. (JKV/SunStar Cebu)
