THE Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) harvested 16 gold medals, eight silvers and three bronzes to emerge overall champion in the recently-concluded 2016-2017 Smart Blue Knights Track League Season 3-PSC Weekly Relays Goes to DavNor first conference finals at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City recently.
Agustin Ychon and Jolly Mae Gabaisen, a 2014 Labuan BIMP-Eaga Friendship Games medalist, led HCDC's medal race by bagging three golds each.
Ychon clinched the men's 20-above 5,000-meter run, 1,500m and 3,000 steeplechase while Gabaisen topped the women's 20-above 400m, 800m and 4x100m relay open.
Joanna Marie Agudo, Jeziel Colmo and Mae Lao Barit, however, copped two golds apiece in their respective events.
Agudo lorded over her rivals in women's 18-19 400m hurdles and 400m while Colmo ruled the girls 100m hurdles and 4x100m relay open.
Barit, for her part, governed the women's 20-above 5,000m and 300m walk.
Liziel Baylon, May Ann Edayon, Geraldine Madayan, Ernesto Canay and Kim Corbito also contributed one gold each for HCDC.
Baylon dominated the women's 18-19 100m dash while Edayon led the 20-above 100m dash.
Canay prevailed in men's 20-above 3,000m walk while Corbito secured the men's 20-above 800m gold.
Host Tagum City, meanwhile, placed second by hauling 14 golds, eight silvers and two bronzes followed by South Cotabato (14-6-0) third, Sto. Tomas Davao National High School (9-4-10) fourth, Crossing Bayabas National High School (6-4-3) fifth, Doña Carmen National High School (6-4-1) sixth, Talaingod DavNor Runners (6-0-2) seventh, Koronadal South Cotabato (4-7-4) eighth, Cabayangan Elementary School (3-1-2) ninth, MaryKnol High School of Panabo (3-0-0) 10th, Davao Oriental (1-6-1) 11th, Union Elementary School (1-1-3) 12th, Ateneo de Davao University (1-0-2) 13th, Dujali Central Elementary School (0-1-3) 14th and Cor Jesu College of Digos (0-1-0) 15th.
