Health officer: OPD undergoes rehab works

THE Zamboanga City Health Office announced that there will be no out-patient consultation effective on Thursday, November 2.

This came about as the out-patient consultation service will be halted due to the ongoing construction work for the rehabilitation of the out-patient department (OPD).

City Health Officer Rodelin Agbulos said the P4 million rehabilitation project is spearheaded by the Department of Health (DOH) under its Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP).

In the meantime, Agbulos said that all consultations will be referred to health centers in the villages.

Agbulos said there will be no consultations at the OPD until the rehabilitation project is complete.

He said that animal bite cases, however, will continue to be treated at the City Health Office’s Animal Bite Center, from 8 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for new bites or wound patients, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for patients on follow up.

Cases requiring immediate medical attention will also be accommodated at the City Health Office, he added. (SunStar Philippines)
