THE Bacolod City Council committee on transportation chaired by Councilor Dindo Ramos will conduct a committee hearing on the application of taxi operators for new franchise.
The hearing is scheduled on January 12, 2 p.m. at the Session Hall.
Council Vicente Petierre issued a notice of hearing to applicants, including taxi operators Cloyd Raymund and Jehana Uy, Mario Luis Eusebio as well as the president of the Association of United Taxi Operators of Negros Occidental, Land Transportation Office head Renato Novero, Provincial Health Officer Joselito Bayatan, and traffic head Superintendent Luisito Acebuche.
The applicants have asked for the recommendation and approval of the City Council on their application for franchises to cover 20 new taxi units.
