Hongkong shopping galore

THERE are several ways to enjoy the progressive beauty that is Hongkong. From dining at several world-renowned food places that come in the form of restaurants or simple street stalls, to mingling with the locals exploring the streets for finds that may tickle one’s fancy, the city is alive and is an urban adventure waiting to happen.

Special discounts

For those who are billed over in any one of three Marco Polo hotels in Hongkong (Marco Polo Hongkong, Gateway and Prince Hotels), the shopping experience could have just gotten a level higher. Valid until March 31, in-room guests can avail of exclusive offers and discounts across 18 outlets in Harbour City by simply presenting their room keycard to the outlets.

Harbour City is Hong Kong’s largest and most diverse shopping center with over 450 shops—a majority of which are high-end luxury fashion brands—and more than 50 food and beverage outlets along with two cinemas.

Handy, Internet connectivity

Ensuring not only the comfort of their guests, but aiming as well to add to their total travel experience, the rooms in all three of the Marco Polo Hotels have been provided with a smartphone updated with a software ready to guide users with anything they need to know about Hongkong. The smartphone, dubbed Handy, is deemed as a revolutionary hotel amenity that helps travelers not only connect with the city and its activities, but are given instant access to complimentary unlimited local calls and international calls to five countries including the Philippines. Handy offers unlimited 3G mobile Internet, access to popular social media apps and Hong Kong dining and city guide and ticketing offers, among others.

Following the success of Handy, the hotels are currently working on a project, that will be launched in the near future, that aims to take the concept of hospitality technology to another level.
