IAN de Ramos has been my long-time friend. We organized pageants and we were together in so many social events.
The close friendship of her Lola Lourdes Cordova, the solo heredera of the former mayor of Bacolod City and former governor of Masbate Teofisto Cordova, to my Dad, uncles and aunts in the Vargas side made us even more good friends. They were always together in social functions.
I admired Ian because of his love for the province of Negros Occidental. He opted to work as Panaad Park and Stadium manager rather than working abroad as a nurse.
He graduated college from Colegio de San Agustin- Bacolod. Ian is a multi-talented guy—a good host, actor, fashion designer, interior decorator, choreographer and director.
Ian celebrated his 41st birthday last April 12 at Txacho Bar and Restaurant at the posh Art District in Mandalagan. The guests were ushered to the delicious cuisines like callos ala Mamita, lengua estofado and the star of all foods—lechon. Of course, the guests were served with overflowing drinks.
The décor which came as a surprise to the celebrator was done by DES balloons and it was a courtesy of his good friend Generose Mijares. It was a Morrocan Festival-inspired motif in full colorful regala.
Adding up to the Morrocan mood is the beautiful tandem of saxophone artist good-looking Seanne Yared and guitarist Ganz Villagracia.
Cheers and happy birthday, Mamita Ian!
