IFLIX, the world’s leading internet TV service, eyes to double their current total number of subscribers in the Philippines which is at 2.4 million followers.
Iflix Events and ATL Manager Jenell San Antonio, in an interview with SunStar Davao, said the company is on track in leading the entertainment revolution.
“We have grown so much from the time we launched iflix last year in the country,” she said.
Iflix, which is originally based in Malaysia, is also operating in Thailand, Brunei, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. There are currently over five million Iflix subscribers in all the six countries it operates with a three billion-minute watch.
The subscription Video-on-Demand platform company is tapping key cities this year including Davao City wherein they officially launched their services to Dabawenyos last November 9 at Rekado Restaurant in Jacinto Extension Street, Davao City.
“We want to educate them, we want to build brand awareness of iflix nationwide to let them know the entertainment revolution that iflix is offering,” she added.
Asked on the future plans of the company, San Antonio said they are brewing something with their telecommunication partner company, PLDT Smart, in reaching more audience and market, and providing better services to customers.
However, she refused to disclose further details on the plan.
She shared there are a lot of enhanced features the company is pushing for a better customer experience.
“More relevant content, more updated,” she said.
According to their customer service and community group, she said, they are receiving a lot of requests on local titles and indie films. She also took pride that Iflix, so far, holds the title of having the largest indie film library worldwide.
Iflix, she said, will continue to roll out its world-class service to key additional emerging markets offering consumers a vast library of top Holywood, Asian regional and local TV shows and movies including many first run exclusives and award-winning programs.
“We provide people entertainment at their fingertips to either stream or download in a very affordable price,” she said.
