LAGAWE, Ifugao -- The Provincial Government is set to recruit more than 100 indigent college scholars for school year 2014-2015.
Juliet Taguiling, supervising administrative officer, said that the province has provided a total of 185 slots for the Tertiary Education Assistance Program (TEAP). The scholars should come from different barangays and special economic zones (SEZ) of the province.
The 175 barangays and 10 SEZs are entitled to one TEAP grantee who is willing to enroll in a public college in Ifugao offering courses not exceeding four years.
To qualify for the TEAP, the total gross annual income of the family of the applicant shall not exceed P75,000 and not a recipient of any scholarship program and financial assistance from the Provincial Government including his family.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of the province certified by the barangay captain and graduated from a recognized Ifugao secondary school with a general average grade of at least 80 percent.
