Infra projects get P16-M fund from Supplemental Budget 1

INFRASTRUCTURE projects had the largest allocation of P16 million under the development fund of the Supplemental Budget (SB) 1.

Under the P428.17 million SB 1, which was approved last week, around P28.7 million was allocated to the Davao City’s development fund wherein P12.7 million is budgeted for non-infrastructure projects while P16 million for infrastructure projects.

Under the allocated budget for infrastructure projects, the largest chunk of the budget went to the city’s Road Development Program with P7.2 million.

This was followed by buildings and other structures at P3.8 million, water system at P3 million, and drainage system at P2 million.

Meanwhile, for the non-infrastructure programs, social development was allotted P5.1 million, development administration with P4.6 million, and economic development with P3 million.

Based on the document released by the City Council, the biggest source of the SB1 will be from the reversion of various appropriations at P184.09 million.

Other sources will be the surplus from the budget last year (P177.10 million), unappropriated balance from the annual budget of 2017 (P57.46 million), and 15 percent share of the collection from January 2016 to June 2016 of the Office of Building Official (P9.52 million).
