SUNSHINE Cruz is reportedly dating Ara Mina's half brother, Ismael "Macky" Mathay.
During the weekend, a photo of the two holding hands while crossing a pedestrian lane in Bonifacio Global City emerged on social media.
In an exclusive interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Mina clarified that she did not introduced her brother to Cruz, a close friend of hers.
"Iniisip ng mga tao na ako ang nagpakilala, pero hindi. Hindi ako yung nagpakilala. Si Macky mismo ang nagpakilala kay Sunshine and then I found out na lang kay Shine,” she said.
When asked if there's a brewing romance between Mathay and Cruz, she declined to answer.
But an unidentified source of the entertainment website confirmed that the two are indeed dating.
The source claims the relationship is new and that Mathay is already separated from his wife, Camille Fariñas, daughter of Representative Rudy Fariñas, for over a year now.
"Recently lang sila nagdi-date," the source said.
Cruz, on the other hand, is also separated from her estranged husband, actor, Cesar Montano, since 2013.
She has three daughters with Montano while Mathay has three children with Fariñas.
As of this posting, both Cruz and Fariñas are yet to speak about the matter. (Sunnex)
