ISAIAH Thomas scored 17 points in his debut as a Cavalier after recovering from a hip injury he sustained in last year's game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Thomas entered the game at the 4-minute mark and received a standing ovation from the fans with his team down by 2, 19-17.
Thomas was able to score 5 points including a hard drive to the rim and receiving an and-one.
By the second quarter, Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic and C.J. McCollum did most of the scoring for their team with Lillard ending the quarter with 12 points, Nurkic with 13 and McCollum with 14.
But despite the three dominating in the quarter, the Cavaliers were only behind by 3 points at the end, 56-53.
By the second half, the Cavaliers were able to get and extend their lead by allowing the Trailblazers to make 15 turnovers with Lillard making 7 of them.
The game was tied at 91-91 early in the 4th quarter until the Cavaliers exploded with a 20-3 run that potentially ended the Trailblazers chances of winning.
Final score, 127-110.
With Thomas scoring 17, LeBron James had a team high 24 points and 8 assists along with Kevin Love with 19 points for the Cavaliers.
