PIQUADRO is an Italian brand focusing on tech-design bags, luggage and accessories for business and leisure. The 2015 Piquadro collection designed by Giancarlo Petriglia comprises four ranges which embody Piquadro’s technological and functional essence and also showcases the out-of-the-mold creative flair of the Milanese designer.
Tetrakis. Tetrakis is a men’s range of capacious computer bags with soft forms. The color schemes and the unusual fractal patterns printed on the full-grain calfskin are particularly striking. Carefully studied functional details make them unusually versatile: backpack, cross-body, messenger or under-arm according to need. Inside, the magical fractal graphics make the pull-out computer case an object to be flaunted. The range of models includes two-handle bags, a backpack and a large bag. They are all convertible and available in white-blue-green or in three shades of black.
Algoritmo. Algoritmo is a men’s business range. Smart technology inspired its square shapes with rounded corners. The new zip puller highlights the bags’ practicality, while chrome-metal accents emphasize its hi-tech inspiration. Smooth and hammered calfskins are the materials chosen for the computer bag, messenger bag and backpack in this range. The palette ranges from classic black and dove-grey to a rather more unusual shade of blue with ice-white accents.
Aurea. Aurea is a women’s business range of simple bags with clean lines, dominated by color. Yellow, green, orange and fuchsia are the vibrant shades which Petriglia chose and combined in amazing schemes thanks to a series of detachable cases that enable the bags to adapt to every moment of the day. Slight, smooth calfskins with a soft hand and satin look are mixed with other, printed calfskins with a subtle, streaked grain.
Diade. Diade is Piquadro’s range for women who do not always carry a computer with them. Creativity is given a free rein in large and small versions of totes, cross-body bags, hobos and satchels. The leathers are light and soft while the colorful, fractal-patterned interiors can be turned to the outside. Each model is totally reversible and can be used as the three-tone leather version or the fabric version printed in shades of fuchsia, yellow, green and mid-blue.
