FOUR provinces in the region will experience rainy weather as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), or the merging of winds from the northern and southern hemispheres affects the whole Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced Wednesday.
The local weather bureau here said that the light to moderate rains, including thunderstorms will be felt by the public in the coming days.
"We will experience it over the weekend too," said June Frivaldo, weather specialist.
Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental are the provinces which will be adversely be affected by the rains that persists for an hour or two.
Public is advised to bring umbrellas for a sudden change of weather.
Meanwhile, Zamboanga del Norte and Sur, zamboanga Sibugay, Compostella Valley, Davao Oriental, Agusan del Norte and Sur are the areas in Mindanao heavily affected by the ITCZ.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, said Pagasa.
