J Marketing Corp. relaunches brand

J MARKETING Corporation (JMC) relaunches on Thursday, November 9, under a new management and targets innovation and business transformation after being patronized by customers for decades.

As JMC had been in the industry for about 38 years, JMC General Manager Teresa Angela Salvallon said it is high time for the company to undergo a total transformation which includes better staff through training and wider range of choices as they plan to bring in more products to the market.

On Thursday, the JMC held their first relaunching ceremony at their biggest branch which is in Ilustre, Davao City. This branch had been open since 1994.

“The reason why we are relaunching it is because the company is currently being transformed. We are under business transformation and we are innovating so that we can give better product offerings to the customers and better service. It’s a store relaunch because we need to inform the market that J Marketing has a better-looking stores now and we intend to replicate this one to all of our stores nationwide,” Salvallon said.

She added JMC’s presence in the market had recently been quiet and traditional, however, with the business transformation they plan to be more open, more innovate, and more updated with the needs of the people they are going to cater to through different new products they are going to offer.

They eye completion of their branches nationwide in five years time alongside branch expansions.

Before, they would usually cater to mid to low types of customers but now Salvallon said they are going to cater to all types of market from high-mid to low which will also include sales to condominium and residential developers.

“Soon we will also be serving corporate sales. We will start in the soonest possible time as part of our business expansion plans,” she said.

For the first 100 customers after the relaunch, they are going to give out Minami emergency lights. Starting November 15, they are also going to launch their Christmas promotion which includes cash discounts, zero interest, and free items.

JMC has a wide array of appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, LED TVs, and washing machines by the leading brands including Samsung Sharp, Condura, Electrolux, White Westinghouse, and Fujidenzo.

In Davao City, Salvallon said what they find very saleable are the entertainment appliances which makes the LED TVs a frontliner in their Davao branches.

“Davao City is a big market, given that the big players and the big network dealers from Manila are here already. That’s why there’s an urgent need to upgrade our stores so that we can be at par with them and then we can also rise to the challenge,” said Salvallon.
