ACTOR Jake Cuenca figured in a minor bike accident on Tuesday, March 14.
In a dzMM interview, Juanto Cuenca, the actor's father shared that his son was training on his bike at the Mall of Asia area in Pasay City when the accident happened.
Juanto said Jake was on the bike when a truck in front of him suddenly stopped and he was not able to press the break in time.
"He was training for 'Ironman' this morning. Biglang nagpreno ang malaking truck. He did not have time to break kaya tinamaan siya," he said.
The senior Cuenca added that his son suffered two broken bones on the hands and he had a few stitches on his chin.
He said Jake was immediately brought to Medical City by his driver and is still in a lot of pain.
Juanto said the truck driver was not to blame as it was his son who hit into the truck after he failed to make a break.
Just last Sunday, March 12, Jake took part in the Ironman 70.3 race in Subic Bay, Zambales.
He is also training for his upcoming teleserye "Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin" opposite Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, where he plays a triathlete. (SunStar Philippines)
