THE Junior Football Club will stage the 2017 Summer Camp from April 7 to 29 at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City.
The camp, to be headed by coaches Dave Javellana and Lyca Jochico, is open to aspiring footballers in featured categories: aged five to six years old, seven to nine years old, 10-12 years old, and 13 and above.
Registration fee is P2,000 to P2,500, depending on the age category.
Jochico said the Junior Football Club was established in the summer of 2005.
“We wanted to share with kids our knowledge of the sport and do so in a fun environment because that’s where we learned best. We started with just eight kids and since then, we have held several summer camps. Most of our participants continue to play in their respective school teams,” she said.
Jochico added that among those who attended their previous clinics are now part of our Negros Selection Team who made it to the Palarong Pambansa in 2015.
“Aside from our summer camps, we are also coaches of an elementary varsity football team for four years and have managed both recreational and competitive teams of different age groups. We use the same principles in handling players and same coaching style,” she explained.
