TV5 sure knows how to join in the colorful celebration of the Sinulog Festival. What better way to do it than to bring over some brilliant personalities to Cebu and line up cool activities for the Cebuanos to enjoy?
Kicking off the array of activities was the participation of the United Football League (UFL) at the 2nd Cebu Sports Commission Football Championships on Jan. 7 to 8.
UFL players such as Mark Hartmann, Misagh Bahadoran, Jose Paolo Pascual, Nestorio
Margase and Lexton Moy gave the anticipating Cebuano crowd a wonderful game.
In keeping with the festivities, TV5 hosted “Sugod mga Kapatid sa Sinulog Show,” which was a gathering of the brightest Kapatid Stars such as Ruffa Gutierrez, Wendell Ramos and Zoren Legaspi last Jan. 12. All three of them appears in the drama series Glamorosa.
Glamorosa is just one of the shows featured during the daily open TV viewing marathon at Fuente Osmeña Circle from Jan. 9 to 12, 1 to 5 pm. Other shows included PS I Love You, Pinoy Explorer and Talentadong Pinoy.
In a press conference held at the Casino Español on Jan. 12, the stars spared some precious time to share interesting anecdotes about themselves.
Ruffa, who can barely remember the last time she came to Cebu, shared her excitement to experience the famous diving with the whale sharks in the town of Oslob come summer. It was interesting to know that she also takes a special liking to Cebu’s dried danggit though she, unfortunately, can never enjoy lechon like most people do as she does not eat pork.
Zoren Legaspi talked about how he handles and enjoys hosting Paparazzi, TV5’s showbiz talk show. He also made two significant announcements: one is that he has already formulated the plot of his, hopefully, second directorial film; second is his plan, with partner Carmina Villaroel, to finally tie the knot this year. He even hopes to do it on Valentines day!
Also present during the press conference were TV5 princesses Arci Muñoz, Danita Paner, Ritz Azul and Cebu’s pride Eula Caballero with primetime prince JC de Vera and Nina Jose. Also, Cebu’s very own Morisette Amon, together with all the stars aforementioned, performed and entertained Cebuano fans. (Cherry Claire Petiluna)
