Gisugdan ang pagtak-op sa tinuig nga kalihukan pinaagi sa sa usa ka street dancing nga nanukad sa Fuente Osmeña Rotunda ngadto sa Basilica del Santo Niño.
Gawas sa mga contingent sa tulo ka mga festival, girepresentahan usab ang Panagtagbo festival sa Dakbayan sa Mandaue.
Si Michael Legazpi, usa sa mga opisyal sa Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Foundation Incorporated, nisaysay sa ilang gibati isip mga first timer sa selebrasyon.
“We were amazed because the organizers were able to invite the top festivals in the Visayas,” sigon ni Legazpi sa interbyu sa Superbalita Cebu.
Ang mga performer sa Ati-Atihan Festival gikan sa 1st ug 2nd runner-up sa 2016 Ati-Atihan Festival nga gilangkuban og 70 ka mga mananayaw.
“Partly, we pay our own expenses in going here. Some were shouldered by the Kaplag organizers,” dugang ni Legazpi.
Sa laing bahin, ang Dinagyang Festival kinsa unang higayon usab nga nianhi dinhi sa Sugbo aron pagsayaw, gikan sa usa ka eskwelahan sa Iloilo nga nakadaug isip 2nd runner-up sa 2016 Dinagyang Festival.
“Actually the one who were invited was the Dinagyang Foundation of Iloilo City and since we are the tribe under the foundation, we were chosen by the foundation to showcase the Dinagyang,” matod ni Jalandoni Memorial National High School principal Liberty P.
