DAGUPAN CITY - The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan chapter has elected its new set of officers.
In a meeting conducted recently at the dzRD Sonshine Radio station in Dagupan City, the members elected new officers who will hold office for two years starting January 2017.
Elected officers were: Chairman - Mark Gemson Espinosa (IFM/RMN), Vice Chairman - Emmanuel Sibayan (DWID Love Radio), Secretary - Jay Mendoza (DZRD Sonshine Radio), Treasurer - Gina Almazan (ABS-CBN/MOR), Auditor - Josephine Sarmiento (DZWN Bombo Radyo), and Standards Performance Officer - Bernie Errasquin (DZMQ Radyo ng Bayan).
All station managers and officers-in-charge who were not elected are automatically considered members of the Board of Directors of the chapter.
KBP is a broadcast media organization that elevates professional and ethical standards in broadcasting, promotes social responsibility in broadcasting, works for the advancement of the broadcast industry and protects the rights and interests of broadcasters.
The KBP represents the interests of the broadcast media in advancing the cause of a free and responsible broadcast media and helping its members maintain a relevant role in Philippine society in the 21st century. (PIA)
