CITY OF SAN FERNANDO--Pampanga Representative Joseller “Yeng” Guiao said Tuesday that the resolution of the Angeles City Council calling for the conversion of this highly urbanized city into a lone district must undergo the appropriate process before re-filing a bill in Congress.
“There must be mass consultations first with the constituents of the first district so that we can get the real consensus regarding the resolution of the Angeles City Council calling for its conversion into a lone district,” he said.
“We will have to review the one filed by former Congressman Tarzan Lazatin on this. May proseso kasi iyan. Once that is done, I myself will push for it if the required process is met and parameters satisfied,” he added.
He said that even if the conversion of Angeles City is a lesser priority, he will support it if the people of Angeles City, Mabalacat City and Magalang agree to it.
“Our priority at the moment is the development of Clark Freeport and the first district as a whole. We will take our next move after the lone district resolution undergoes the right re-processing,” said Guiao.
