MEDICAL tourism landscape in Davao City gets a boost with the entry of one of the country’s leaders in the dermatology and cosmetic surgery industry, Manny and Pie Calayan Clinic.
The clinic opened its second branch outside Metro Manila next to Cebu City last November 20 at SM Lanang Premier.
“We are positive about the Davao and Mindanao market. The very reason why we expanded both in Cebu and Davao because we have many patients based in these areas,” Dr. Pie Calayan said in an interview with SunStar Davao at the sidelines of the clinic’s grand opening Sunday afternoon.
She added that the newly-opened Davao-clinic will better cater its Mindanao-based patients as they need not to go all the way to Manila to avail the Calayan’s services.
For over 22 years, the clinic and surgery center has presently four clinics, the cities of Makati, Quezon, Cebu, and Davao. By 2017, the company is set to open its Alabang, Muntinlupa City branch middle next year. The Davao clinic will operate seven days a week from 10 a.m.to 9 p.m.
“With more branches to handle, we still make sure that we will be hands-on to our clients like what we are known for,” she said adding that they will come here in the city every Friday to attend to their clients.
The Davao clinic has three nurses trained in Manila to serve clients here for regular beauty regimen like facials, minor lasers, and hair removals, among others.
For over two decades, the clinic has been bringing the latest medical techniques and top-of-the-line equipment to clients, including some top celebrities. The Dr. Manny and Pie Calayan Clinic here, she said, will offer whatever they have in the main clinic in Manila.
Some of the clinic’s services for dermatology are signature facials, laser treatments and infusions and for alternative medicines are Naturopathy and acupuncture. While for cosmetic surgery, both surgical and non-surgical are offered by the clinic.
