Legislators still waiting for report on federalism

Legislators are still waiting for the House committee report about federalism, Negros Occidental Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez said.

Benitez said they expect to convene as a Constituent Assembly once the passage of the committee report is done.

“When we convene into ConAss (Constituent Assembly) everything will follow,” he said.

“The priority is to discuss federalism so that we can study further and determine if we need to move from unitary form of government to federal and change the structure of government. I think we need to focus on this because 2019 is still far,” Benitez added.
