FIFTY-FOUR Cebuanas flaunted their figure before a crowd who witnessed the swimsuit competition of the Binibining Cebu at Grand Convention Center on Friday, September 29.
The 54 candidates representing Cebu's cities and towns wore the Solti Activewear that was pioneered by Kymberly Maitland-Smith.
Maitland-Smith, in an interview with SunStar, said it only took her a month to make all the designs featured in Friday's competition.
The designs were created exclusively for the Binibining Cebu candidates.
The Solti Activewear showcased bold and simple designs for the free-spirited girl who loves an adventure. It was handcrafted in Cebu from upcycled textiles.
"All my designs can be worn for any activity," said Maitland-Smith.
Friday's swimsuit competition comprises 25 percent of the pre-pageant scores, which will determine the top 20 during the coronation night.
The criteria for judging are beauty of face and body proportion, walk, poise and grace, confidence, and stage presence. (SunStar Philippines)
