Lorna Tolentino returns on TV via ‘Victims of Love’

LORNA Tolentino is gearing up for her television comeback on the Kapamilya Network.

The seasoned actress is returning via upcoming series "Victims of Love" opposite JC Santos, Paulo Avelino, Julia Montes, Angelica Panganiban and Cherry Pie Picache.

The upcoming series, which is slated to be released after the Holy Week, is Tolentino's comeback project with ABS-CBN after doing "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" in 2011.

According to the actress, when the project was offered to her, she did not hesitate to accept it because of the story and cast.

"Sir Deo (Edrinal) called Nanay Lolit (Solis) and sinabi niya na may project for me. Then nung pinitch nila yung role, maganda. So, yun na yun. Another challenging role for me," she said at the recent Watsons Switch and Save campaign launch, which she endorses alongside Kylie Padilla, Iya Villania, Christian Bautista and Edu Manzano.

Tolentino shared she will have a very interesting character as it will veer away from her usual goody two-shoes roles on television.

The actress added that she's excited to work opposite her co-stars.

"Exciting kasi alam mo yung lahat ng kasama mo are giving actors. Kungbaga, hindi ka mahihirapan kasi magagaling lahat. It's really the quality... lahat. Siyempre pag nakatrabaho mo na ilang beses na, ma-miss mo talaga," she said.

Tolentino also said that she has so much respect for both Montes and Panganiban as the two have impressive portfolios.

She was impressed by Montes' dual role in "Doble Kara" and Panganiban's complex characters in "Rubi" and "Apoy sa Dagat."

Lastly, the actress said she's happy and excited to go back to acting.

Tolentino said she's one of the fortunate ones who could accept project in different channels and work with new and established names in the industry.

"Masarap para sa artista yun and maganda din na nakaka-ikot ka," she said.

"Victims of Love" will be aired in ABS-CBN's primetime block. (SunStar Philippines)
