LTO-Bacolod resumes registration

RENATO Novero, head of Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Bacolod City, said they resumed the registration of vehicles Wednesday after they went off line for about a week.

“We had trouble in our server that it was offline for several days but Manila was able to address the problem so we are now back to our normal operations,” he said.

Novero said the registrants had to wait because they had to address the bulk of registrations pending for a week.

“We have no control over technical matters,” he added.

Novero clarified that registrants whose deadlines were last week should not worry because they will not be imposed penalties for late registration.

This only applies to those who were at LTO office when they were off line.

Expired registration is charged a P200 penalty.

Meanwhile, Novero said their office does not have any control over the issuance of plastic LTO driver’s license.

It’s the concern of LTO National office, he added. (TDE)
