Lumawag: Websites that will make you smarter

LEARNING new things is always a joy. You become amazed at new things you learn and at the same time you become smarter. Internet has made learning new things easier as educators are given a more creative way of teaching things. Here are some websites you can visit to make you smarter.

For those who want to learn or is in the middle of learning a new language, this is a site you must check out. Learning language is made easier through interactive learning guides and visual and audio aids. I like how you can learn the language at your own pace through the site.

Another great thing about it is there are tips and notes on the language you are trying to learn. I tried the site myself and I was able to quickly learn basic French. At present, the language you can choose from is still limited but hopefully they will add new ones soon.

This is another awesome site for learning different things. It covers a wide range of topics on science, math, history, language, etc. The site also uses interactive learning guides and visuals and audio aids.

Also, the visuals on this site are very easy on the eyes making it appealing to both adults and children. I also find it to be very helpful to many students since they got a series of courses on subjects that are usually taught in school – elementary, high school, and college.

How stuff works (www.howstuffworks.com)

Ever wonder how airports operate or how organic insecticides work or how Airbnb works? The creators and founders of this website seek to provide you with answers on how things work in this world.

They cover a huge range of topics from science to engineering to Hollywood. For those of you who are looking for a quick read yet want to learn something then you must check this website out.

For students who are somehow having a hard time with some of their classes, this website will definitely provide you with the help you need.

This website offers learners “practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.”
