Mabalacat City police urges motorcycle riders to register

MABALACAT CITY -- The city police has urged motorcycle owners here to secure rider’s clearance and identification card to avoid hassles when travelling around the city.

The program is in line with the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s Clean Riders program recently implemented nationwide in response to the several cases of robbery where the suspects use motorcycles in what they call “riding in tandem.”

The riders are advised to register or fill up application form at the Mabalacat Police Station.

The program is applicable to both single motorcycles and tricycles.

“Get your Clean Riders ID and sticker now available at our station (S2 Section) located at the old municipal building in Barangay Poblacion. It’s free,” the city police department stated.

Requirements include photo copy of OR/CR and drivers license.

“For second hand owners, submit your notarized proof of ownership. For second hand owners under installment basis, kindly secure a certification from your distributor stating your name and details of the motorcycle duly notarized by a Notary Public,” the city police added.
