Mabalacat water district 'to continue quality services'

MABALACAT CITY -- The Mabalacat City Water District (MCWD) is committed to provide quality services to its consumers in terms of potable and sufficient supply of water, an official said.

MCWD general manager Francis Dimaliwat said the water firm recently spent more than P40 million for the construction and commissioning of at least four pumping stations all over the city.

He said the pressure and quality of water in Barangay Mabiga, Santa Maria, Maria Consolacion (Dau), and Camachiles had improved.

He also assured the water firm’s concessionaires that no water increase is scheduled this year.

Dimaliwat said the last adjustment in water rates was made in 2011.

“We are still studying the possibility of a water rate adjustment. Of course, it should be approved by the Local Water Utilities Administration,” he said.
