MACABEBE -- The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) here conducted a four-day training-seminar from August 18 to 21 on disaster preparedness.
Municipal Administrator Jomel Cruz said that around 25 participants coming from the rescue team, municipal police station, Bureau of Fire Protection and selected barangay officials joined the training-seminar.
He added that the lecture focused on flood preparedness.
"I asked the officials in the training to explain flood preparedness so that it would coincide with our contingency plan," Cruz said.
He noted that the seminar had some speakers coming from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
Cruz also said that the trainees will have an actual drill on disaster preparedness in some barangays. He said that the Agriculture Training Institute sponsored the training-seminar.
