A 21-YEAR-OLD man died after he was punched by an unidentified person around 3 a.m. Sunday, February 11, in Barangay Corazon, Catmon, Cebu.
Police Officer 2 Neo Ligtas, desk officer, identified the fatality as Noe Guiwanon, who succumbed to a head injury.
The incident happened outside the sports complex in Corazon where a disco was held. The village was celebrating its fiesta that day.
Witnesses told the police that Guiwanon, a resident of Barangay Cabunghaan, Catmon, was punched in the face.
The victim fell and his head hit a rock. He was brought to Juan Dosado Memorial Hospital in Sogod, Cebu, where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
Investigators have no clue on the motive behind the attack and identity of the culprit, who fled after attacking the victim. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
