THE City Prosecutor's Office has recommended the filing of charges against a man who allegedly raped a woman at an inn in Cabaguio Avenue, Agdao District, Davao City.
Prosecutor Panfilo Lovitos, in a resolution dated November 28, found probable cause to indict Jodito Alergame Encarnacion for violation of Republic Act No. 8353 otherwise known as the Anti-Rape law of 1997.
Based on the resolution, the complainant (name withheld to protect her dignity) alleged that on November 20, the respondent brought her to an Inn at Cabaguio Avenue, Agdao, Davao city where the respondent allegedly forced to undress and sexually assaulted her.
Encarnacion was then apprehended by the Sta. Ana Police after the incident was immediately reported by the complainant.
Lovitos found enough evidence to indict Encarnacion for the case. (KVC)
