THE prices of commonly bought commodities at the Bankerohan Market in Davao City remained stable as of this week based on the market monitoring conducted by SunStar Davao on Friday, July 7.
The prices of meat remained stable this week with chicken at P128/kg and at pork P185/kg.
Selected seafood also retained the same price from last week with bangus at P120/kg, talakitok at P200/kg, pusit at P240/kg, and boneless bangus at P60.
Dried fish (bulad/tuyo) remained stable with matambak at P260/kg, hawol-hawol at P170/kg, and lapu-lapu at P350/kg.
Meanwhile, a drop in the prices of eggs was noted this week from small sized at P4 each while its price per tray went down to P120 this week from P160/tray last week. A medium-sized egg is at P5.50 each but its per tray price increased to P165 this week from P150/tray last week. Extra-large eggs remained at P6 each and P180/tray.
There was also a decrease for beef from P260/kg last week to P230/kg this week. Matambaka also decreased to P140/kg from P170/kg.
An increase in the prices of spices was also noted next with onion at P105/kg from P90/kg, garlic at P175/kg from P160/kg, and ginger at P85/kg from P50/kg. (Ella Leen Kate N. Legarda and Christian Dez Rey L. Apique, UIC Interns)
