MARLON Stockinger proved that he's one supportive boyfriend when he was beside Pia Wurtzbach during her final hours as reigning Miss Universe.
The Filipino-Swiss professional race car driver was Wurtzbach's date during the 65th Miss Universe coronation held Monday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Minutes after the Filipina beauty crowned her successor, Iris Mittenaere of France, Stockinger immediately posted a tribute photo for his girlfriend.
He wrote: "I'm so proud of you Pia and your reign as Miss Universe. You will always be the Queen of the Philippines".
Stockinger and Wurtzbach confirmed their romance ahead of the competition.
The former Miss Universe described the race car driver as "sweet, funny and supportive" of her career.
The two were introduced in New York City on latter part of last year and they have since been spotted together either vacationing or in casual dinner dates.
Wurtzbach was even present during Stockinger's family holiday in Hawaii. (SunStar Philippines)
