Marriott celebrates International Housekeepers’ Appreciation Week

Published on

FAITHFUL to Marriott’s culture of “Putting People First,” Cebu City Marriott Hotel engaged more than 70 housekeepers in its annual celebration of the International Housekeepers’ Appreciation Week simultaneously held with the rest of the 6,000 Marriott properties worldwide last Sept. 11 to 15.

Showing sincere gratitude and appreciation, members of the executive committee as well as managers from different departments all took turns in making the services team feel extra special by serving them daily afternoon refreshments throughout the week. The festivities culminated with a boodle fight last Sept. 14 that was eagerly participated by all associates.

Surely, maintaining 301 rooms, function spaces and outlets for the past 20 years is a feat that doesn’t come easy and appreciation is a merit they all deserve. Jennie Toh, vice president of rooms and spa operations for Asia Pacific of Marriott International shares: “It is truly a wonderful week for us all to set aside some time and thank our housekeeping team to convey genuine gratitude and sincere appreciation for the critical role they play in making our business a success.” (PR)
