MASANTOL -- The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) said that some 47 rescuers in this town are now already preparing for La Niña.
MDRRMO officer Jess Manansala said that they might conduct another training for their rescuers this June.
He added that he, together with the MDRRMO personnel, conducted a meeting recently to discuss about their preparations and equipment needed to be used in case of disaster.
"May mga grocery stores or drugstores na din na nakipagcommit sa amin in case mangailangan kami ng relief goods, nangako naman sila na magbibigay," Manansala stressed.
Manansala said that he also keeps an eye on weather news in the country to warn residents of possible flooding.
