COMEDIENNE Melai Cantiveros is expecting her second child with husband Jason Francisco.
The former "Pinoy Big Brother" grand winner confirmed in her morning talk show "Magandang Buhay" on Friday that she's 10 weeks along the way.
She said the family is very happy with the pregnancy news.
"Sobrang saya ko talaga nung nalaman ko na buntis ko. Tapos sinabi ko kaagad kay Jason. Sobrang saya niya na madadagdagan na ang aming family, kaya happy family kami."
To recall, the showbiz couple hit a rough patch a few months ago.
Cantiveros said it was not easy and they both had to give each other space and time to heal and think things through.
She then flew to Mindoro, Francisco's hometown, to settle things.
"Napag-usapan namin na mag-asawa na ayusin namin. Nag give time kami sa isa't isa na mag heal yung mga puso namin, kasi kung alanganin pa yung pag-aayos ninyo, mag-aaway ulit kayo," she added.
"Nag-adjust kami sa isa't isa, nag respect kami sa mga ayaw at hindi, then nag accept kami sa mga kung ano yun," she said.
Cantiveros said the biggest lesson for her is to not think too much of what is lacking in one's partner or in the relationship, but instead, to learn how to compromise.
"Pag nag-asawa ka, nakikilala mo yung asawa mo. Pero hindi dapat laging asawa mo lang kasi makikilala mo din paano ka sa asawa mo. Nakikita ko na may pagkukulang din, mag pagkukulang kami sa isa't isa kaya pupunan namin ito sa bagong chapter sa buhay namin."
Cantiveros and Francisco are also parents to their first daughter, Mela. (Sunnex)
