More foreign brands at Abreeza in 2017

MORE international brands are coming next year in one of Davao City's premier shopping destinations - Abreeza Ayala Mall in Bajada.

Meliza Tanduyan, Abreeza Ayala Mall operations manager, said that they are expecting more sales and foot traffic by 2017.

She said some of these foreign brands and companies are Calliope, Lego House and the International School of Cambridge.

Calliope Abreeza store, Tanduyan said, is expected to start operations by first quarter of next year. The upcoming foreign-based mall tenant is an Italian apparel brand which is a sister company of Mango.

Lego lovers will soon flock in Abreeza as the first certified Lego store in Mindanao is set to open by February 2017.

For the International School of Cambridge, Tanduyan shared it will occupy about a 250-square meter area at the mall.

While the mall continues to lure more foreign brands to operate here, Tanduyan underscored that they also encourage more local firms to operate inside their mall.

"Actually, aside from foreign brands, local businesses like Balay Berde, an organic store and Happy Farmer, a cafe selling farmers' produce are also scheduled to open a store in the mall next year," she said.

Meanwhile, Ruby Bueno-Ochoa, Abreeza's marketing manager said that as the Christmas season started, the mall's foot traffic reached to an all-time high record with almost 100 percent occupancy. Also, Ochoa reported that as of December 2016, Abreeza Ayala Mall is 99 percent leased out.

Abreeza Mall, which opened last May 12, 2011, is a large shopping mall complex and is considered as the first Ayala Shopping Center located in Mindanao.
