Mother of slain call center agent seeks justice

LEAH Adolfo, the mother of Aireen, a call center agent who was found dead in Barangay Pulangbato, Cebu City on Monday morning, July 10, seeks justice for her daughter's death.

"Ako lang wish, unta regalo lang sa akong anak, unta mahatagan og katumanan nga masulbad iyang kamatayon (My only wish, as a birthday gift to my daughter, is to gain justice for her death)," she said.

Aireen would have turned 25 today, Wednesday, July 12.

Leah added that Aireen asked permission to buy food outside prior to the incident, and was worried when Aireen didn't come home that night.

The next day, Leah was informed by Aireen's younger sister that Aireen was already dead.

"Wa ko kasabot sa akong gibati. Gi contact kos iyang mga amiga. Wa ko kahibaw nga naay gipatay (I didn't know what to feel. Her friends contacted me. I didn't know that someone was killed)," she said.

Leah added that Aireen had many dreams in life, and she was about to get her passport so she can travel. She also asked her daughter for forgiveness.

Aireen reportedly left the house at 6 p.m., carrying a bag with wallet, ATM cards and an expensive phone in it, to buy food for dinner.

She was seen taking a habal habal ride on the way home and was found dead the next morning. She was unrecognizable because her face was smashed with a rock. (with Kevin Lagunda of SunStar Cebu)
