THE officials of Lapu-Lapu City Police (LCPO) tapped 54 leaders of motorcycle-for-hire drivers' groups to help them in preventing crimes and terroristic activities in the city.
Chief Inspector Mark Gifter Sucalit, LCPO's intelligence commander, said the meeting, which happened on Wednesday morning, January 10, also aimed at helping secure a safe Fiesta Señor.
The fluvial parade on January 20 will start at the Naval Forces Central base in Barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan, Cebu.
"The said activity aims to lessen the perceived gap between the community and the police," Sucalit said.
He discussed the basics of criminal profiling, observation and description.
Sucalit said vigilance is the key to prevent a crime from happening. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
