TO SOME, they may find it odd that someone in his mid-twenties would get excited and find happiness playing Lego. Well, I am one of those in their mid-twenties who just love playing and building stuff out of Lego.
As a kid I grew up playing Lego and now that I am a young professional, I still play them.
When you buy a Lego set, you follow the instruction booklet to make what is on the box. However, what I love about Lego is after building what is depicted on the box, you can dismantle everything and come up with something new.
I like building planes, which I am very fascinated with. However, all of the planes I made don’t come close to one. They look more like boats or train coaches with wings.
I have also built structures like restaurants and airports. I also love doing microstructures which means I only use the tiny pieces to make something.
Playing Lego blocks is a form of de-stressing activity for me. It allows me to stop thinking about stressful things and get away from all the stress since I am only focused on constructing the set or something.
Though Lego is basically for kids, I think young professionals and adults will also enjoy this toy. Anyway, there are actually adults out there who takes on Lego seriously that they are able to create something impressive out of it.
Here in Davao City, Lego sets are available at the toy stores in SM Lanang and SM City Davao. It can also be found at the toys section at the Robinsons Department Store and ground floor of Abreeza Mall.
